About CBTL

CBTL (Create, Build, Teach, Lead) is a structured trauma-informed relational framework supporting young people affected by chronic adversity to move from crisis to stability, and from stability to positive contribution.

The model strengthens emotional regulation, behavioural accountability, literacy engagement and leadership development in young people affected by chronic adversity.

CBTL works with schools, local authorities, youth justice services and community organisations to support young people aged 12–25, including those experiencing school exclusion, gang influence or transition through the criminal justice system.

The framework combines structured routines, relational safety and clear expectations to help young people rebuild identity, develop responsibility and step into positive leadership roles.

CBTL is also informed by lived experience, enabling authentic engagement with young people navigating gang pressure, community instability or transition through the criminal justice system.

Our goal is simple: help young people move from crisis → stability → contribution within their schools, communities and futures.

CBTL consultations are available for schools, local authorities, probation services and community organisations seeking structured trauma-informed support.
