The CBTL Framework
CBTL is a structured, trauma-informed relational framework designed to move young people from crisis to stability, and from stability to contribution. We combine emotional regulation, behavioural accountability, literacy engagement, and leadership development within clear, consistent environments that promote safety and growth.
Regulation
We begin by restoring emotional regulation. Young people develop grounding skills, emotional vocabulary, and practical self-regulation strategies that reduce crisis responses and rebuild internal stability.
Accountability
Clear behavioural boundaries and structured expectations create safety. Young people learn responsibility through consistent routines, reflection, and restorative practice.
Literacy & Engagement
Improved literacy confidence, classroom participation, and sustained engagement in learning. Young people move from avoidance to active contribution within structured support.
Leadership & Identity
Participants rebuild identity, develop agency, and step into leadership roles within school and community environments. Stability becomes contribution.
Crisis
Dysregulation, behavioural escalation, literacy avoidance, relational instability.
Stability
Regulation, accountability, structured support, engagement in learning.
Contribution
Leadership, identity development, peer mentoring, sustained participation.
Implementation in Practice
CBTL is delivered through structured small-group programmes, 1:1 mentoring, restorative practice, literacy support, and leadership development pathways. Sessions are consistent, relational, and trauma-informed, with clear routines and measurable targets. Progress is tracked through behavioural, engagement, and participation indicators agreed with partner schools and organisations.
Measured Impact
Impact is monitored across emotional regulation, attendance, literacy engagement, behavioural incidents, and leadership participation. Schools and partners receive clear feedback reports and review meetings. Our goal is not short-term compliance, but long-term internal regulation and sustained contribution.
Evidence-Led & Trauma-Informed
CBTL is grounded in trauma-informed practice, restorative principles, relational consistency, and structured behavioural frameworks. Our approach aligns with safeguarding legislation, educational inclusion strategies, and early intervention models used across UK statutory services. We combine relational depth with measurable accountability to ensure safety, stability, and sustained contribution.
